Fermionic Geometry for BSM

Prof. Chia-Hsien Shen

The effective field theory (EFT) approach for new physics has risen to a prominent role given the current status of the LHC. However, the large number of operators in the Standard Model EFT (SMEFT) calls for a new organizing principle. In this talk, I will review the geometry construction for EFT that manifests the invariance from field redefinition and neatly organizes physical quantities. I will then generalize this approach to the fermionic sector of the SMEFT. As applications, I will show that both tree amplitudes and one-loop renormalization group equations can be compactly written as geometric objects. This talk is based on 2310.02490.
